What is RP13?

RP13 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £2.02 per year for yard - underground drainage pipework.

What do I need to do?

* Install 100mm or 150mm (internal diameter) drains.

* Excavate trenches at least the pipe's outside diameter plus 300mm, laying pipes on at least 100mm thick clay or sand.

* Lay pipes to a fall of no less than 1 in 60 (100mm pipes) or 1 in 100 (150mm pipes) to avoid settlement.

* Place inspection pits no more than 90m apart in straight lines.

* Use uPVC pipes with sealed joints and backfill to at least 600mm (no traffic) or 900mm (traffic areas) using compacted material.

What evidence do I need?

  • You must keep written support from your Catchment Sensitive Farming adviser and provide it with your application.

  • You must also keep and provide with your claim:

photographs of the site during the different stages of construction, or contracts, invoices or other documents confirming the technical specification for the completed works

photographs of the completed works

* any consents or permissions connected with the work, including from the local planning authority

RP13 pays £2.02 per year.
