Which SFI Actions Stack Together?
You can apply for multiple SFI actions on the same land parcel, as long as the activities are compatible. Here's how to maximise your payments.
How does stacking work?
SFI allows you to combine actions on the same parcel. For example, you can have a hedgerow action (HRW1) alongside a buffer strip (AHW2) on adjacent land. The key rule: activities must not conflict with each other.
Stacking by land type
The most effective stacking strategies group complementary actions on the same parcels.
Arable stacking options

CWD22: Manage wood pasture and parkland (\xA3212.00)
Important stacking rules
Check the RPA's official compatibility matrix before applying
Some actions explicitly exclude others on the same parcel
Payment rates apply per hectare/metre - stacking means you earn multiple rates on the same land
Your SFI agreement can include actions from different categories
