LIG2 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £151.00 per year for lig2.

* Minimize nutrient inputs: apply no more than 12 tonnes per ha of cattle farmyard manure or equivalent available nutrients from other organic manures/fertiliser.

* Graze or cut the grassland to achieve the action's aim (flowering grasses, wildflowers, varied plant heights).

* Minimize bare ground and maintain an intact grass sward throughout the year, avoiding compacted areas or poaching.

* Do not apply digestate or industrial by-products, carry out drainage works, plough, cultivate, or re-seed.

* Do not use pesticides, except for herbicides to weed wipe or spot treat injurious weeds, invasive non-native species, nettles, or bracken.
