TE4: Supply and plant tree
What is TE4?
TE4 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £1.72 per year for supply and plant tree.
What do I need to do?
* Use appropriate tree species for site conditions and objectives, ensuring planting stock complies with regulations.
* Prepare the planting site and use a method that maximizes tree survival , ensuring roots are fully inserted and trees are firmed in.
* Protect young trees with 0.6m spiral guards and canes (unless conifers or agreed otherwise), maintaining them until established and replacing dead trees.
* For new woodland, prepare a habitat creation plan detailing objectives, species, density, and open space.
* Adhere to minimum dimensions and stocking densities for new or restocked woodland as specified in the guidance.
What evidence do I need?
You must keep photographs of the completed work and provide them with your claim.
You must also keep and provide on request:
any consents or permissions connected with the work
receipted invoices or bank statements where a receipted invoice is unavailable
