What is TE2?

TE2 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £123.94 per year for planting standard parkland tree.

What do I need to do?

* Carry out work between 1 November and 31 March.

* Plant native species at least 2m tall in adequately sized pits.

* Use flexible and adjustable tree ties to prevent wind damage, maintaining stakes and ties until established.

* Protect trees from livestock and wild animal damage, and control weeds until established.

* Replace dead trees in the following planting season to ensure at least one living tree in good condition at agreement end.

What evidence do I need?

  • You must keep photographs of the completed work and provide them with your claim.

  • You must also keep and provide on request:

any consents or permissions connected with the work

receipted invoices or bank statements where a receipted invoice is unavailable

* the date, location and method of any weed control carried out
