CWD7: Manage scrub and open habitat mosaics
What is CWD7?
CWD7 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £350.00 per year for manage scrub and open habitat mosaics.
What do I need to do?
* Manage scrub mosaics with a variety of heights, widths, shapes, and species.
* Manage using cutting, light grazing (cattle, pigs, hardy ponies), natural colonisation, or planting.
* Agree a stocking calendar specifying monthly minimum and maximum stocking rates if grazing.
* Protect and keep mature, veteran, and ancient trees , their rootstocks, and any attached deadwood.
* Replace any planted trees that fail to establish.
