The compliance gap matrix

Written by Sven Poppelmann

The Outstanding Evidence board shows every open evidence request across your portfolio in one list - what is waiting on you to review, what is waiting on a farm to send, and how urgent each one is. It replaced the old gap-matrix grid on 8 September 2026.

Opening the board

From the sidebar choose Oversight > Matrix (the URL segment is unchanged, so existing bookmarks still work).

The four counters

At the top of the page four counters give you an instant read:

  • Past their deadline - requests that are overdue

  • Due within 7 days - requests coming up soon

  • No deadline set - open requests with no deadline (neither fine nor late - just unknown)

  • Uploads to review - files a farm has already sent that are waiting on your approval

There is no percentage or health score. Every number is a count of real rows.

Two piles

  • Waiting on you - uploads that have been sent and are sitting in pending review. This is work in your court.

  • Waiting on the farm - requests that have been sent but not yet answered. Listed most overdue first.

Each row shows the request name, the farm, the scheme, and an urgency badge (overdue / due soon / due in N days / no deadline set).

Filtering

Use the filter bar to narrow by farm, scheme type, or label. The year filter is not shown here - deadline urgency is absolute, not year-relative.

The honest footer

Below the lists a footer tells you how many farms in scope have no open request, and flags any farms that hold a live agreement but have never been asked for evidence. A farm nobody has asked owes nothing - but that is not the same as being compliant.

Tips

  • Start with Waiting on you - those uploads are already done, they just need your sign-off

  • The no deadline set count is worth reviewing - requests without deadlines are easy to lose track of

  • If the page shows a truncation warning, filter by farm or label to see the remaining requests
