What is UPL1?

UPL1 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £20.00 per year for moderate livestock grazing on moorland.

What do I need to do?

* Ensure livestock density does not exceed 0.16 grazing livestock units (GLU) per ha at any time.

* Do not carry out supplementary feeding of livestock, apart from mineral licks.

* Produce a written stocking calendar at the start of each year for each land parcel, detailing:

Land parcel reference and hectarage

Planned grazing dates each month
