FG10 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £8.09 per year for temporary deer fencing.

What do I need to do?

* Install a fence to protect newly coppiced woodland

* Ensure the fence meets specifications for height and mesh size based on deer species present (e.g., Fallow, Roe, Muntjac)

* Erect the fence as soon as possible after coppicing and before re-growth

* Maintain the fence to prevent deer entry until coppice re-growth is sufficient
