Submitting evidence via a request link

Written by Sven Poppelmann

When a farm or adviser needs [[company/evidence|evidence]] from you - photos, certificates, lab reports - they can send a request link. You don't need a [[company/farmwalk|Farmwalk]] account to use it. This article walks through what to expect.

Opening the link

Tap the link in the email or text. The page that opens is a public [[company/evidence|evidence]] portal showing the farm name, the scheme it relates to (such as SFI, CS or [[company/red-tractor|Red Tractor]]) and the deadline for submission. Branding (logo, colours) reflects the organisation that sent the request.

Seeing what's needed

A progress bar at the top shows how much of the request is already complete. Below it, every required item is listed with:

  • The [[company/evidence|evidence]] type (e.g. photograph, document)

  • How many uploads are required

  • How many have already been approved

  • How many are pending review

Uploading an item

  1. Click the item you want to upload to

  2. Choose a file (image, video or PDF up to 500 MB) - drag and drop is supported

  3. Enter your name (required) and an optional email address

  4. Add a short note if useful

  5. Click Submit and wait for the upload progress to finish

What happens after

Your file goes into the farm's [[company/evidence|evidence]] library and the requester is notified. They may approve it, reject it, or ask for changes. If they need a revised file, they'll send a fresh request.

Tips

  • Take photos in good light and from a distance that shows the whole subject

  • Add an email so the requester can come back to you with [[company/questions|questions]]

  • If the link won't open, ask the requester to send a fresh one - links do expire
