Reviewing incoming evidence

Written by Sven Poppelmann

The [[company/evidence|Evidence]] Review screen is where managers, admins and owners triage uploads coming in from farm staff, contractors and external [[company/evidence|evidence]] requests. Use it to check, approve, request changes or reject - and to keep on top of items waiting on you.

Opening [[company/evidence|Evidence]] Review

Open the farm and go to [[company/evidence|Evidence]] Review. The screen is only shown to roles with review capability ([[person/admin|admin]], manager, owner).

Side-by-side layout

Each pending item is shown side-by-side:

  • Left - the requirement the [[company/evidence|evidence]] is meant to satisfy (e.g. an SFI action, a CS option, a [[company/red-tractor|Red Tractor]] standard)

  • Right - the uploaded file with a preview and metadata (uploader name, time, source link)

Review actions

  • Approve - links the [[company/evidence|evidence]] to the requirement and clears the item from the queue

  • Reject - rejects the upload with a reason

  • Request changes - sends a comment back to the uploader asking for a revised file

Priority and flags

Critical items - those tied to overdue declarations or imminent inspections - are flagged so they appear first. Use the flag to triage rather than working strictly chronologically.

Real-time updates

New uploads from the farm's [[company/evidence|evidence]] requests feed appear live, so you don't need to refresh while you work through the queue.

Tips

  • Review in short, focused sessions rather than letting the queue grow

  • Always add a reason when you reject or request changes - the uploader needs to know what to fix

  • If a file doesn't match the requirement, link it to the right one rather than rejecting it - that saves the uploader re-shooting
