Tracking scheme import jobs

Written by Sven Poppelmann

The Imports dashboard is where you watch and manage every scheme PDF you've uploaded. It is especially useful when you've kicked off a bulk upload of multiple agreements at once.

Opening the dashboard

From a farm, go to Schemes > Imports. You'll see a card for every import you've started, ordered by the most recent.

What each card shows

  • File name

  • Detected scheme type

  • Status (Queued, Extracting, Verifying, Parsing, Matching, Building, Ready for Review, Imported, Failed)

  • A confidence score from the importer

  • Any warnings or error messages

The dashboard polls for status every three seconds while imports are running, so you don't need to refresh.

Bulk uploads

Click Bulk Upload to drop several PDFs in at once. Each file becomes its own import job and runs in parallel.

Bulk save

When several imports reach Ready for Review and look clean, you can select them and bulk-save the agreements - useful at the start of a scheme year when you have a stack of new PDFs.

Failed imports

A failed job tells you why - common reasons are unsupported PDF types, missing pages or unrecognised scheme formats. From a failed card you can re-upload a fixed PDF or fall back to the manual scheme builder.

Tips

  • Don't bulk-save without reviewing each agreement - the importer is good but not infallible

  • If you see lots of low-confidence parcel matches, fix your land data first and re-run the imports

  • Keep the original PDFs in the vault as evidence - they're your audit trail of what was issued
