Drilling into a CS option

Written by Sven Poppelmann

A Countryside Stewardship agreement is built from revenue options (such as GS2, BE3 or SW1) and capital items. The option detail page lets you manage one of those revenue options on its own.

Opening an option

Open your CS agreement, switch to the Options tab and click an option. The detail page opens with the option code badge and a category badge (grassland, boundaries, water and so on, each colour-coded).

Overview tab

The Overview tab shows:

  • A description of the option

  • The payment rate

  • The evidence requirements

  • The number of evidence items collected so far

  • A status (complete, partial, not started)

Land tab

The Land tab lists the parcels and hedgerows assigned to this option. For rotational options you can use the rotation dialog to add or remove parcels for the next year.

Evidence tab

Every evidence item linked to the option appears here. Add new items from the vault or remove ones that no longer apply. The Overview's evidence count updates immediately.

History tab

For rotational options the History tab shows which parcels carried the option in each year. Use it when an inspector asks for evidence that you've rotated correctly.

Tips

  • The status badge is your quick guide to whether the option is audit-ready

  • Use the colour-coded category to spot related options - all your boundary options together, for example

  • Treat the rotation dialog as the system of record - manual edits to parcel assignments lose history
