Weather history and frost tracking

Written by Sven Poppelmann

The Weather History screen stores per-parcel weather observations - temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind direction and frost risk - so you can spot trends and back up management decisions. The screen is feature-flagged, so it may not be visible on every farm yet.

Opening Weather History

Go to Farming > Weather History. The page header includes a back link to the farming hub and an Export CSV button.

Summary stats

A grid at the top of the screen shows the totals for the period you have selected:

  • Number of records

  • Average temperature

  • [[company/minimum|Minimum]] and maximum temperature

  • Total rainfall

  • Frost days

Filtering

  • Search - by parcel name

  • Parcel - dropdown to focus on a single field

  • Date range - last 7, 14, 30, 90 or 365 days

The records table

Each row shows the parcel, date, time, weather condition (icon plus name), temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind direction and a frost risk badge.

If you have more than 100 records in the current view, the table shows the first 100 and prompts you to use the export for the full dataset.

Exporting

Click Export CSV to download every record in the current filter as a spreadsheet. This is useful when sharing data with an agronomist or running your own analysis.

Tips

  • Frost-risk records can support decisions on cover crop timing, spraying windows and grazing turnout

  • Always tag observations to a parcel so you can compare conditions across the farm

  • Export and archive each season's data alongside your scheme reports
