Farmwalk's Health and Safety module helps you manage farm H&S obligations in one place - from risk assessments and COSHH records to training logs, equipment checks, and incident reporting.

Adding Health and Safety to your farm

  1. Go to your farm's Schemes page

  2. Click Add Scheme and select Health and Safety

  3. [[company/farmwalk|Farmwalk]] creates a dedicated H&S workspace for your farm

What's inside

Your H&S scheme is divided into specialist sections:

  • Documents - Policies, procedures, and H&S records

  • Risk Assessments - Create and manage risk assessments for farm activities

  • COSHH - Chemical and hazardous substance records

  • Training - Staff training certificates and renewal dates

  • Equipment - Machinery inspections and maintenance records

  • Incidents - Near miss and accident log

  • Actions - Outstanding H&S actions and remediation tasks

  • Maps - Farm maps with hazard annotations

  • Portal - Shared access for contractors and visitors

Tasks and actions

H&S actions can be assigned as tasks to team members with due dates. This keeps remediation work tracked and visible across your organisation.

Tips

  • Review the Actions tab regularly - outstanding H&S actions are a common inspection finding

  • Keep training records current - [[company/farmwalk|Farmwalk]] tracks renewal dates so you know when certificates expire

  • Use the Portal to share H&S information with contractors before they arrive on farm
