WD9 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £74 per year for livestock exclusion supplement - scrub and successional areas.

What do I need to do?

* Ensure no livestock grazing at any time of year to allow natural regeneration of trees and scrub.

What evidence do I need?

  • Where there is uncertainty about whether the aims of the supplement have been delivered, we will take into account any records or evidence you may have kept demonstrating delivery of the aims of the supplement. Which land is eligible?

It is available for Countryside Stewardship Mid Tier and Higher Tier and can be used on whole or part parcels on land: containing mostly native species of trees and scrubs when combined with: WD7 - Management of successional areas and scrub * WD8 - Creation of successional areas and scrub
