VED1: Educational access visits
What is VED1?
VED1 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays £363 per year for educational access visits.
What do I need to do?
* Carry out a risk assessment before each visit and provide a copy to group leaders
* Conduct a tour lasting at least 2 hours , led by suitable staff or volunteers
Explain links between farming, conservation, food production, or woodland management during the tour
Complete a site visit declaration form for each visit, signed by the group leader
* Do not charge for visits , receive other direct income, or claim for multiple groups visiting simultaneously
What evidence do I need?
You must keep copies of the site visit declaration form and provide them when you make a claim for payment.
