HE1 is an action under the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) scheme. It pays per year for historic and archaeological feature protection.

What do I need to do?

* Agree a specification with Historic England, Natural England, or the Forestry Commission.

* Provide 3 written quotations for the work with your application.

* Agree the selected quotation with the relevant body.

* Complete the works to the agreed specification and timescale.

* Ensure all necessary consents or permissions (e.g., scheduled monument consent, listed building consent, felling licence) are obtained before starting work.

What evidence do I need?

  • You must keep and provide with your claim:

photographs to show the completed works

a detailed specification

  • You must also keep and provide on request:

* any consents or permissions connected with the work
