What is this option?

This management option supports rural payments and services under the Scottish Agri-Environment Climate Scheme (AECS).

What do I need to do?

  • juniper

  • Atlantic hazel

  • alder

  • hawthorn

  • blackthorn

  • willow (Salix cinerea, S. aurita, S. phylicifolia)

  • downy birch

  • you must exclude all grazing

  • exclude livestock or adhere to an approved grazing regime defining the livestock units and dates. If grazing, we strongly advise that you use the template below. If you choose to create your own plan, then you must provide all information requested in the template. Failure to do so may result in your plan being deemed not fit for purpose and the option or item removed from your application

  • you must not coppice hazel in Atlantic hazel woods

Applications are made through the Scottish Government's Rural Payments and Services portal. You must be registered with Rural Payments and Services (RP&S) to apply.
