Creating and assigning tasks

Tasks in Farmwalk help you track work that needs doing on a farm - from compliance actions to maintenance jobs. You can create tasks manually or let them be generated from consult sessions.

Creating a task

  1. Go to your farm's Tasks page

  2. Click New Task

  3. Enter a title and description

  4. Set a priority level and due date

  5. Assign the task to a team member (optional)

  6. Save the task

Assigning tasks

Tasks can be assigned to any team member who has access to the farm. The assignee will see the task in their task list. If you leave a task unassigned, it appears in the farm's general task list for anyone to pick up.

Updating and completing tasks

Click any task to update its status, add comments, or mark it complete. Task comments provide a log of progress and decisions.

Tips

  • Write clear, actionable task titles - "Upload soil sample results for Field 3" is better than "Soil stuff"

  • Use due dates to keep track of scheme deadlines

  • Tasks can be linked to specific agreements, items, and parcels for context
