Voice notes let you record observations directly in Farmwalk. The recording is saved to your vault and automatically transcribed using Deepgram, so you get both the audio and a searchable text version.
Recording a voice note
Open your farm's Vault
Click the Voice Note option
Allow microphone access if prompted by your browser
Speak your note - describe what you're observing, any issues, or reminders
Click Stop when done
The recording is saved and transcription begins automatically
Using transcriptions
Once transcribed, the text version appears alongside the audio file. This means your spoken observations become part of your farm's searchable record.
Tips
Voice notes are great for field observations - faster than typing on a phone in muddy conditions
Transcription works best with clear speech and minimal background noise
Voice notes can be linked as evidence to scheme requirements, just like any other vault file
