Consult sessions let rural consultants record farm visits, automatically transcribe the conversation, and generate AI summaries with extracted actions. Everything from a 2-hour visit gets captured and structured.
Starting a session
Go to the Consult Sessions section of your farm
Click New Session
Give the session a name (e.g. "Spring SFI review")
Click Start Recording - your browser will ask for microphone permission
During the session
While recording, you'll see a recording indicator and a live transcript pane showing the conversation as it happens. Farmwalk uses Deepgram for real-time transcription with speaker identification, so it tracks who said what.
Ending and reviewing
Click Stop Recording when the session is complete
Farmwalk processes the full transcript and generates an AI summary
Review the summary: executive overview, key points, follow-ups, and risks
Check the extracted actions - these can be converted into tasks
Tips
Use a quiet environment for best transcription quality
The persistent transcript pane stays visible throughout - you don't need to take separate notes
Actions extracted by AI should be reviewed before converting to tasks
